A New Crop of Interns

Learning how to administer IV’s, scouting for pests, assisting with budgets, and working with potato handling equipment—these are all tasks that Threemile Canyon Farms interns will encounter.

This summer, Threemile welcomed 15 college students to the farm for 8-week internships throughout our operation. The program offers hands-on work experience, mentorship from our team of experts, and exposure to industry tours and networking opportunities.

Depending on the students’ interests and degree of study, they can apply to work in our accounting, agronomy, dairy, or shop departments.

Investing in our local community and mentoring the next generation of farmers has been important to us since our beginning. For nearly two decades, the program has connected local college students pursuing agriculture-related degrees with practical experience on the farm.

Much of our management team started with us as interns, and transitioned into full-time positions after graduation, demonstrating the program’s commitment to fostering long-term careers in agriculture.

At summer’s end, Threemile will award over $100,000 in scholarships to the 15 students who successfully complete the internship to help with school expenses.

Every year, National Intern Day is celebrated in July. To honor this day, we are pleased to introduce our 2024 group of students.
