Patricia has worked at Threemile for a number of years in our maternity barn and notes there's great opportunity for learning, personal and professional growth. "The part I enjoy most is being able to help care for the cows. I firmly believe that by keeping animals healthy, we can be certain that the food we bring into homes is of high quality and safe for consumption," Patricia said.
Katie worked at Threemile as an agronomy intern for 3 summers and was hired on after graduation. She has now been working full-time for the last 2 years. Katie is a zone supervisor and she grows a variety of crops including conventional and organic corn, potatoes, alfalfa and organic blueberries and onions. On a typical day as a zone supervisor, she checks her fields, looks at crop health, soil moisture, and also checks in with the people who work within her zone. Her favorite part about working at Threemile? "No day is ever the same! There is so much diversity between crops that every day provides new challenges," Katie said.
Nestor has worked at Threemile for 6 years and manages a team of employees responsible for taking care of our younger herd. Nestor starts his day off by checking on his team and the animals to make sure they have everything they need. Along with his daily duties, Nestor is also a big help with our dairy heifer program check-ins: he sets up the pens, brings water for the heifers, and helps with whatever else is needed! Nestor said his favorite part of working at Threemile is "the animals, the people, and because it's a great company to work for!"
