Go Behind the Scenes with the Threemile Dairy Team for National Dairy Month

June is National Dairy Month! The Threemile team celebrates dairy 24/7, 365 and this month is a perfect time to highlight the hard work, logistics, and technical expertise needed to run our dairy! Threemile prioritizes cow comfort, continuous access to food and water, efficiency, and technology. It takes a high level of skill, coordination, and team work to manage a dairy herd producing 3.2 million pounds of milk each day. 

If you spend time at Threemile, you will often hear our team use the slogan "A Leader in Cost, The Gold Standard in Quality" when describing our dairy. From our maternity and calf ranch to our freestall barns and milking parlors, achieving this goal is something we take seriously and work towards every day. Part of this means always being open to learning new things that will collectively improve what we do. Whether it's through our Animal Welfare Committee, receiving monthly visits and inspections from our Northwest university-based Animal Advocate Veterinarian, or through unlocking new efficiencies in our feeding operation, our team is always looking for ways to learn. 

To take you behind the scenes of our operation while also providing an inside look at the hard work, passion, and complexity it takes to produce milk that is used to make some of the best cheese in the world, we launched our Dairy Deep Dive Series last year during National Dairy Month. Each episode of Dairy Deep Dive takes you behind the scenes and up close with our healthy happy cows and team.
