Oregon's FFA program is at risk of losing funding. On January 16th, General Manager of Livestock Operations Jeff Wendler sent the following letter on behalf of Threemile Canyon Farms to the Oregon Joint Ways and Means Committee urging them to continue funding FFA.

Summer in Eastern Oregon is a busy time both on and off the farm. In addition to their regular responsibilities, members of our dairy team have spent the last few weeks participating in the Umatilla County Fair and preparing our Threemile Dairy Club 4-Hers for the Morrow County Fair.

Investing in our local community and mentoring the next generation of farmers has been important to us since our start. For nearly two decades, the Threemile intern program has connected local college students pursuing agriculture-related degrees with practical experience on the farm.
