Threemile Canyon Farms Named Business of the Year at Boardman Chamber’s 36th Annual Distinguished Citizens Awards

Threemile Canyon Farms was named Business of the Year by the Boardman Chamber of Commerce during the organization’s 36th Annual Distinguished Citizens Awards Banquet, which took place at the Sage Center on March 11th. The award recognizes the farm’s long-standing commitment to agricultural innovation, community partnership, and economic leadership in Eastern Oregon.

The annual event recognizes outstanding contributions across several categories and highlights the dedication of those who continue to strengthen the Boardman community.

“These awards recognize the individuals and organizations who consistently step forward to support our community, inspire others, and make Boardman stronger,” said Chamber Director Torrie Griggs. “Each recipient represents the spirit of service and dedication that defines our town.”

The banquet also serves as an important fundraiser for local students. Through the evening’s centerpiece auction, cork pull, and fun games, the event raised just over $10,000 in scholarships for Riverside High School seniors, helping invest in the next generation of leaders.

This year’s recognition highlights Threemile Canyon Farms’ role as one of the region’s leading agricultural operations and a cornerstone employer in the area.

“We are honored to be recognized by the Boardman Chamber and our community,” said General Manager of Livestock Jeff Wendler. “Our team works hard every day to produce food responsibly while supporting the economy in Boardman and the people who make this region such a special place. We are proud to play an active role in the Boardman community that is also home to many of our team members.”

Threemile Canyon Farms employs hundreds of workers across its operations and partners with numerous local businesses, contractors, and suppliers. The farm also actively supports community initiatives, youth programs, and regional organizations that strengthen the quality of life in Boardman and throughout Morrow County.

The Business of the Year award reflects not only the scale of the farm’s agricultural production but also its continued investment in people, innovation, and the future of farming in the Pacific Northwest.

For Threemile Canyon Farms, the recognition is a reminder that the success of modern agriculture depends not just on responsible land stewardship, but on strong communities working together.
